Presented by Latino Arts, Bembé's Latino Carnival takes the all-ages audience on an ethno-musical and dance journey through the African-based traditions of Carnival in Cuba and Brazil. With over 75 Milwaukee youth artists and some of Milwaukee's top Latin professional musicians and dancers together, don't miss this non-stop and family-friendly Carnival feast of live rhythms, movements and spirit. 

Guest Professional Artists: Carlos Adames and the Carlos Adames Group Musicians, Tony Ayala, Elias Holman, Bony Plog-Benavides, Imani Jalil, Darele Busquera, and Danny Balderas and the Salsabrositas youth Latin dance ensemble.

Bembé Drum and Dance is a year-round after-school program of Milwaukee Public Theatre, sponsored by MPS Partnership for the Arts & Humanities, Wisconsin Humanities Council, UWM's Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies, Marquette University's Office of Community Relations, Latino Arts, Inc., and many generous individual donors.
