CULTURAL ARTS APPRENTICES

ABOUT THE CULTURAL ARTS APPRENTICESHIP

  • 10-month paid apprenticeship in Afro-Latino Cultural Arts

  • October 5, 2026 - July 10, 2027

  • 8-10 hours per week (workshops, training, planning and events)

  • $50/week apprenticeship stipend

  • Artistic Training in music, dance, and song

  • Technical training in audio recording, archival record keeping, video production

  • Skill-Building in community event planning and hosting, theatrical stage management, sound and technical set up, and teaching artistry

  • Key education and training in pre-employment skills

  • Travel Opportunities (Elective, not required)

  • University campus visits and collaborations

ELIGIBILITY

  • Ages 15-19

  • Minimum Two Years (2) of dedicated practice in Afro-Latino Cultural Arts

  • Availability 8-10 hours per week (Weeknights and Saturdays)

  • Availability for Key Dates on Apprenticeship Timeline
