CULTURAL ARTS APPRENTICES
ABOUT THE CULTURAL ARTS APPRENTICESHIP
10-month paid apprenticeship in Afro-Latino Cultural Arts
October 5, 2026 - July 10, 2027
8-10 hours per week (workshops, training, planning and events)
$50/week apprenticeship stipend
Artistic Training in music, dance, and song
Technical training in audio recording, archival record keeping, video production
Skill-Building in community event planning and hosting, theatrical stage management, sound and technical set up, and teaching artistry
Key education and training in pre-employment skills
Travel Opportunities (Elective, not required)
University campus visits and collaborations
ELIGIBILITY
Ages 15-19
Minimum Two Years (2) of dedicated practice in Afro-Latino Cultural Arts
Availability 8-10 hours per week (Weeknights and Saturdays)
Availability for Key Dates on Apprenticeship Timeline
